About the presentation:
The archeologist for the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, Dr. Pérez Merced presents some of the incredible archeological finds made on previously unexplored sites off the San Juan coast. He also discusses the impact climate change has had and will continue to have on our Indigenous heritage if measures aren't taken soon.

About Dr. Carlos Pérez Merced:
Carlos A. Pérez Merced is a professor in the Master's Program in Archeology of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. He holds a Ph.D. in Humanities with a thesis in Archeology from the History of the Americas Program at the University of Seville, Spain.

About Reencuentro Taíno Conference:
This first-of-its kind event, focused on the evolution of the Taíno language and featured linguists working on language revitalization, archeologists, artists, musicians, spiritual leaders, and esteemed members of our Taíno community from around the world.
