The Nenets language teacher Yuliya Aivasedo from Kharampur village of the Purovsky district in Yamal became a participant of the all-Russian professional competition The best teacher of the native language and native literature – 2022 held in Zheleznovodsk, Stavropolskiy krai in September 2022.

Yuliya was awarded a cash prize from Norilsk Nickel company in the category The best media presentation about education of children of indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation.

Yulia graduated from Tarkosalinsky boarding school and Salekhard teaching colleage and became a teacher of the Nenets language. She thinks that her greatest achievement was that she was able to involve children of the forest Nenets in the process of learning and preserving their native language. This in itself  requires a lot of work.

In total 68 teachers from 68 Russian regions took part in the all–Russian competition, including 8 teachers from indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East.

The competition was organized by the Ministry of Education under the auspices of the Federal Institute of Native Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation in order to share best innovative teaching experience, support and encourage the best teachers of native languages and native literatures.
