The Dictation in the Karelian and Vepsian languages will take place on April 20-25, 2022 in the Republic of Karelia, Tver, Vologda, and Leningrad regions. The main goal of the action is to promote Karelian and Vepsian languages, ethnic and cultural development of indigenous peoples, Finno-Ugric cooperation.

The quiz "My Speech is my Mirror" was timed to coincide with the International Mother Tongue Day and was held with the aim of developing a sustained interest in learning the Russian language.

El seminario de expertos se celebró para proponer y debatir iniciativas concretas que se aplicarán dentro de los planes de acción del Decenio Internacional de las Lenguas Indígenas a nivel local, regional, nacional e internacional. Los organizadores se propusieron informar a la comunidad de expertos sobre las prioridades y los objetivos del Decenio Internacional, elaborar propuestas para la aplicación de los objetivos del Decenio a nivel local y regional en la Federación de Rusia, e intercambiar las mejores prácticas en el ámbito de la preservación, la revitalización y la digitalización de las lenguas nativas de los pueblos indígenas. Los expertos también elaboraron propuestas y recomendaciones, que se recogen en este documento final y se enviaron a la UNESCO, al Foro Permanente para las Cuestiones Indígenas de las Naciones Unidas, al Mecanismo de Expertos de las Naciones Unidas sobre los Derechos de los Pueblos Indígenas y a otras organizaciones interesadas.

El encuentro tiene como objetivo presentar las directrices del Decenio Internacional de las Lenguas Indígenas y movilizar el apoyo de las instituciones responsables del tratamiento de las cuestiones indígenas para la discusión, planificación y organización de las acciones del Decenio de las Lenguas Indígenas en el estado de Acre, con la construcción de acciones efectivas y continuas en favor de las lenguas de los pueblos indígenas.

La sesión del 31 de marzo de 2022 estará dedicada a las cuestiones relacionadas con las lenguas y la discriminación racial en el marco del Decenio Internacional de las Lenguas Indígenas. La sesión para el Equipo de País de la ONU está organizada por la OACDH y la UNESCO.

El acto de apertura del IDIL (2022-2032) en Letonia tendrá lugar en la Casa Nacional de Livonia en Mazirbe, organizado por el Instituto de Livonia de la UL, la Comisión Nacional de Letonia para la UNESCO y la comunidad livoniana. Simbólicamente, el evento de apertura combinará una de las tradiciones más singulares de Livonia -el despertar de los pájaros- y las iniciativas para establecer la lengua y la cultura de Livonia en el entorno digital. Al acto asistirán representantes de alto nivel del Gobierno de Letonia y de la UNESCO.
