The literary competition “Voice of the North” has been held by RAIPON since 2017. RAIPON decided to announce two categories in the Literary competition “Prose in the languages of Indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of Russia, with translation into Russian and English’ and ‘Poetry in the languages of Indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of Russia with translation into Russian and English’.
The main tasks of this competition are:
- to preserve and develop the literature of Indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East;
- to promote the development of the creative potential of talented writers who recount the life, customs, and traditional values of Indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East;
- to popularize the finest works of modern authors who have contributed to preserving the literary uniqueness of Indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East;
- to preserve and develop the languages of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East.
