Writing contest for authors writing in the Permyak language or in Russian about the history, culture, everyday life of the Permyaks
The contest is open to authors writing in the Permyak language in any genre on any topic. Authors writing in Russian participate in the competition if their works reflect the history, culture, way of life and modern life of the Permyak people.
The competition is held in May-September 2023. Application campaign – from May 16 to August 21. Summing up the results of the competition – from August 22 to September 05. Awarding of the winners of the competition – until September 23 (the date will be announced later).
The literary competition is held in two categories: “Poetry” and “Prose”. The contest participants in the “Poetry” nomination present 5-7 lyrical works or 1 lyric-epic work (poem, ballad, etc.), in the “Prose” nomination – 1 novella or no more than 5 works of minor prose. Dramatic works can also be submitted to the competition, which will be attributed to the “Poetry” nomination (if written in verse) or to the “Prose” nomination.
The founder of the competition is the Ministry of the Komi-Permyak District of the Perm Krai, the organizer is the Komi-Permyak Ethnocultural Center. The competition is held according to the Perm Krai state program “Society and Power” (subprogram “Implementation of the state national policy in the Perm Krai”).
