The XIV regional holiday of the indigenous peoples of the North

The XIV Regional Festival of the Peoples of the North was held in Nogliki village. For three days, teams from the places of traditional residence of the indigenous peoples of the Sakhalin North competed in creative, culinary and sports competitions. This year, more than 150 people from 7 municipalities of the region took part in the event. An exciting and rich program of events, impressive for the ethnic flavor of the island region, awaited the guests of the holiday: sports competitions, an exhibition of decorative and applied arts, a competitive concert of the festival of artistic creativity, a culinary competition, and a presentation of the book “Elgavun. A caravan of pack deer.”
