The winners of the Saltykov, Laptsui, and Irikov literary prize were named in Yamal
Nikita Anagurichi became a winner of the Saltykov, Laptsui, and Irikov literary prize in Yamal.
Nikita Anagurichi wrote his story The Hunger in the Nenets language. The story is dedicated to the life and work of the people living in a small village of Yartsangi situated on the coast of the Gulf of Ob during the World War II. Through the usage of various expressive means the author vividly depicts the hardships of war and famine the villagers suffered from.
Stories about simple workers, hunters and fishermen during the Soviet period of the Russian history are among other works of the writer who lives in the town of Nadym in Yamal. Nikita Anagurichi translates poetry of local as well as renown authors such as Roman Rugin, Ivan Krylov, Agniya Barto, Vladimir Vysotskiy, Sergey Yesenin into the Nenets and Khanty languages.
According to the conditions of the competition Nikita Anagurichi will receive a monetary prize of 50 thousand roubles.
