The book “Peter – the famous tsar – Pedru, kuulužu kuningas” was published in the publishing house “Periodika”.

The publication includes folklore works about Peter I that existed among the Karelian-speaking population and recorded by both Karelian and Finnish researchers during the second half of the XIX – first half of the XX century: historical runes, fairy tales and legends. The texts are presented in Karelian with a translation into Russian. The corpus of texts is presented in three sections: historical runes, fairy tales and legends.

As the title of the collection, one of the lines of the historical rune was chosen, which most fully characterizes the image of Peter the Great in the popular worldview.
