The 3-rd Open District Ethno-Forum “My Shuryshkarsky”

On June 25-26, 2022, the village of Muzhi, Shuryshkarsky district, hosted the III Open District Ethno-Forum “My Shuryshkarsky”. It was attended by twenty folklore groups and residents of Shuryshkarsky district, the cities of Salekhard and Labytnangi, guests from the city of Inta (Komi Republic) and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

The extensive Ethno-Forum Program included the “Dialogue of Cultures” seminar, grand opening of the Ethno-Forum, concert-review of the creative programs by the participants, the “Rainbow” competition of children’s creativity, exhibitions and master classes on various types of arts and crafts, fair-sale of products of masters of arts and crafts, sightseeing and other recreational activities.

The Program included a meeting with Vladimir Yegorovich Enov, a writer and a narrator of Khanty heroic folklore tales. At the meeting called “Our Wonderful Ob Region” and dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the writer’s career, Vladimir Enov presented his own composition “Two Inch-Size Boys” in Khanty and Russian languages.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages.
