Introduction to blogs, video channels, online communities, websites and apps made by Indigenous groups and individuals from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Paraguay.

2019 is UNESCO’s year of indigenous languages, to celebrate Scotland House London will host an event showcasing elements of Scottish culture and history to London audiences through language and dialect.

We are pleased to invite you to take part in the photo contest "in our own words” organized as part of the RISE COLING research project. Entries should represent minority, indigenous or endangered languages. Audra Vincent (Coeur d’Alene Language Programs) and Amy Fountain (University of Arizona), linguists and language activists, are giving a talk on collaborative community language research and resource development. Their work on the Coeur d’Alene Online Language Resource Center earned them (and their collaborators) the Ken Hale Prize.

Join us for Gohwééh dóó Bááh Łikáni (Coffee and donuts)! This time will be used to focus on speaking the Navajo language, however, there are several indigenous languages of the southwest and we encourage speakers to join us to speak their Native language.
