Olympics in Native Languages and Literature

PetrSU hosted the final stage of the III Federal Olympiad for schoolchildren in the native languages and literatures of the peoples of Russia (profile “Karelian language and literature”).

Schoolchildren (these are students in grades 8-11) from the regions of the Republic of Karelia, Petrozavodsk and St. Petersburg took part in the Olympiad.

They completed assignments on the Karelian language and literature, and other languages and literatures of Russia.

The final stage can be completed at the sites of the universities co-organizing the Olympiad. In 2022 there were 6 such universities, in 2023 – 18, in 2024 already 29. There are more participants from Karelia this year compared to last year – 23 (last year there were only 7 people).

The finals of the Olympiad were held on March 2 (native languages and literatures) and March 3 (philology: Russian language and literature) – guys from Essoila and St. Petersburg came to this final, 6 people in total.
