Navruz

The Turkic folk holiday Navruz brought together more than 300 amateur artists from 20 municipal districts of the Omsk region, the city of Omsk and national and cultural associations of Kazakhs, Tatars, Uzbeks, Kyrgyz, Kurds, Tajiks and Azerbaijanis and took place on March 27 at the Omsk House of Friendship.

The organizers of the holiday were the Omsk House of Friendship, national and cultural associations of Omsk and the Omsk region. The holiday was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Omsk Region.

Traditional Navruz treats of pilaf, flat cakes, chak-chak and tea were held on the square of Ногse of friendship. National associations have prepared almost 80 kg of delicious pilaf for spectators and guests of the holiday!

A wide variety of master classes, colorful photo zones and a game corner were presented in the foyer. At the ethno buffet “Nomad” they were treated to baursaks and koumiss.

The festive exhibition and sale of national jewelry, household items, national clothes and souvenirs pleased the most demanding connoisseur of Turkic culture!

Omsk people of various nationalities came to the holiday! Families came. And there were many children – beautiful, spontaneous, joyful! Children played, made, took pictures, sang, danced, applauded together with adults!
