IVth Conference “Functioning of the languages, folklore, Literature and Traditional culture of small-numbered Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East in the context of the globalization»

The 4th Conference is dedicated to the memory of the northern scientist Maria Yakovlevna Barmich.

The purpose of the conference is to create a platform for:

-public discussion and highlight topical issues on preserving, developing and functioning of languages, folklore, literature and traditional culture of indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation in
modern conditions;
– identification, generalization and dissemination of successful regional practices of cultural and environmental activities, ensuring the development of adequate ways of
the existence, broadcasting and popularization of the native language, literature and traditional
culture of the northern ethnic groups.

The following topics are planned to be discussed during the Conference:
– Educational and methodological support for the teaching of the native language, literature and culture
of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East.
– Projects on the preservation of native languages, literature and cultures of indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East and their promotion in the public space.
– Best practices in the field of preserving the native language, literature and culture of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East.
– Scientific and educational activities of famous Northern scientists.
– Implementation of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages
