Interregional research conference ‘Khetagurov Readings’

On 17 October 2024, the K.Khetagurov secondary school No.13 hosted the interregional research conference ‘Khetagurov Readings’ dedicated to the 165th anniversary of the birth of Kosta Khetagurov, a classic of Ossetian literature.

The conference was attended by students in grades 5-11 from general education institutions in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, and students from Karachay-Cherkessia took part in the event remotely.

The conference was organised in sections:

Section No. 1. Ossetian philology;

Section No. 2 Regional Studies;

Section No. 3 Ossetian literature.

The jury evaluated the relevance, practical significance, scientificity of the presented works, novelty of the search, clear definition of the object, subject of research, hypothesis formulation, author’s contribution to the work, level of independence and validity of conclusions, originality of topics and research methods, depth of research, level of analysis of sources, quality of presentation of material, mastery of the text, clarity, conciseness, emotionality, ability to answer questions, effective use of visuals and ICT, quality of work design and regulations. The criteria for evaluating research papers and projects were differentiated.

The topics of the presented works were diverse, interesting and topical. The defence of research and project works was accompanied by multimedia presentations.

The total number of the contest participants was 75 people. The total number of winners and prize-winners was 33 people, including 13 winners and 20 prize-winners.

All winners and prize-winners were awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science.
