II All-Russian Cossack Festival “Twelve Pearls”

Having already become traditional and beloved by all, the Cossack festival “Twelve Pearls” has been held in the region since 2008. once every two years in the month of June on the territory of the Ulyanovsk region.

In 2023, the program of the event includes three festival days:

 

– June 10 opening of the festival. Gala concert in which 15 teams will take part, 9 of them from the regions of Russia (Samara region, Volgograd region, Republic of Adygea, Vologda region, Republic of Tatarstan, Orenburg region, Kaluga region, Republic of Mordovia; 6 teams from the Ulyanovsk region (Mainsky district, Radishevsky district, Karsunsky district, Sursky district, Kuzovatovsky district, city of Ulyanovsk) – June 11 8 outdoor concert programs of the festival participants in the municipalities of the Ulyanovsk region (Baryshsky district, Tsilninsky district, Cherdaklinsky district, Starokulatkinsky district, Radishchevsky district, Mainsky district, Novospassky district, Veshkaimsky district)

– June 12, participation in the festive event dedicated to the Day of Russia. The program of the day will continue with the festival procession and performance with a concert program of the festival participants on Lenin Square.

The purpose of the festival is the patriotic education of Russian citizens, acquaintance with the work of the Cossack ensembles of the regions of Russia, the preservation and development of folk traditional Cossack culture, stimulating the interest of creative teams in the study and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Cossacks of Russia, the exchange of experience, the establishment of creative contacts between the Cossack teams of the regions of Russia.
