Charla con Josué Maychi: Ser Maya en México

A lecture given by the internationally renouned Maya actor Josué Maychi, to our students at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Tampico, about his life experience and challenges as a indigenous actor and playwright living in México.

He talked about his experience growing up as a Spanish and Maya speaker, the challenges he faces in his career, as well as the obstacles Maya communities have to endure in Mexico. Lastly, he spoke about his recent and current work as a theater and television actor who’s mainly involved in spreading information and awareness about indigenous peoples in Mexico.
