Annual international youth scientific school «Tatar science»

October 25-27, 2023 the Institute of Language, Literature and Art. G. Ibragimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan organized the work of the Annual International Youth Scientific School “Tatar Gyleme” (“Tatar Science”), dedicated to the epic heritage of the Turkic peoples.

The purpose of organizing the Annual International Youth Scientific School “Tatar Gyleme” (“Tatar Science”) is to increase the level of training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel, attract talented youth to participate in fundamental scientific research in priority areas of scientific development, increase the level of science and education through international cooperation and increasing the mobility of young scientists, graduate students and undergraduates.

Postgraduate students of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, students, master’s students of the Kazan (Volga region) Federal University and its Naberezhnye Chelny Institute, Ufa University of Science and Technology and its Sterlitamak branch, Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after. M. Akmulla, Naberezhnye Chelny and Moscow Pedagogical Universities, Literary Institute named after. A.M. Gorky, also studying at other universities in Kazan.

The School’s program included lectures as well as seminars by leading scientists on the problems of national epics, issues of preserving the art of storytelling and using the potential of the epic heritage of the Turkic peoples in the context of globalization. The event was attended by scientists from Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Kalmykia, Moscow, Ufa, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of scientific and educational institutions of the republic, the media, etc.

During the School, the following exhibitions were held:

– “Tatar folk dastan “Idegey”: Naka Isanbet’s contribution to the study and creation of a consolidated text”, prepared by the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of the Kazan Federal University on the basis of archival documents stored in the personal archive of the scientist;

– “Dastan. Connection of times and generations”, containing illustrations by Honored Artist of the TASSR B.M. Almenov and drawings by students of the school named after. B. Almenov, dedicated to Tatar dastans.
