“Cultural origins”

The interactive programme was devoted to the cultural customs and traditions of the nationalities historically living in the Ryazan land. The kids learned about the celebration of the National Tatar Festival Sabantui, where the key elements are folk and sports games, songs, dances and national cuisine. They got acquainted with the Tatar winter holiday of Nardugan and noted some common features with the Russian tradition of the Kolok. The librarians’ story about Moravian holidays, in which families traditionally participate, has become equally fascinating. We talked about the peculiarities of Slavic culture.
