WORKSHOP CUM VILLAGE VISIT PROGRAMME
Baha Bonga is the biggest festival in the Santal Community of India. Baha Bonga is held every year in Fagun Kunami (Purnima of Phagun) in Rajdoha Village. Many people came to see and enjoy the Baha Bonga of Rajdoha Village. In this time Atu Majhi Morehor (Village Administrator) of Rajdoha Village with Collaboration of ADIM OWAR AKHRA will organise four days Conference Cum Village Visit Programme on 6th – 9th March 2023 at Rajdoha Village. In last years Peoples came to see Baha Bonga, but this year they enjoy Baha Bonga as well as attend this conference. Target Participants of this Programme are Social Worker, Students, Intellectuals, Research Scholars, and Faculty Member of Institutions.
The theme of the conference is mainly Village Development issues. The sub-themes are divided into three parts:
- Rituals and Culture of Santal Community – Participants know about rituals and Culture of Santal Community.
- Economic Development: Participants are discussing economic development issues at the community and individual level. Education, Preparation of Job, Business, Business Loan, Education Loan are the subject of this sub theme.
- Village Administration – In Social and Economic development of a community there are a big role of Administration system. In the Santal Community, there is already a traditional social system called “Majhi Pargana Bebostha.” But the people of the community are not developed, so our motive is to find a path of development through Social System as well as Individual level. Majhi Ari, 73rd Amendment of Constitution, Gram Panchayat Development Plan, Public Service Delivery, Social Audit are the subject of this sub theme.
